Hedge Rose celebrates it’s tenth birthday this year and has developed a reputation for providing stylish designs with a natural, rustic twist.   The team at Hedge Rose is Kate Howard, Owner and Charlotte Phipps, Senior Florist.  We pride ourselves in offering a friendly, personal floristry service to all of our customers.

Kate’s love of flowers and plants started at an early age when she had own patch of garden and grew her own flowers.  Later on she created her own garden and is now rarely stumped when it comes to horticultural names. Following an earlier career in business and fundraising, she decided to pursue her deep seated knowledge and passion for flowers by studying floristry. She worked in a leading Oxford florist and then moved down to Wiltshire where she studied at Lackham and Pershore colleges to gain qualifications and more work experience. She had the opportunity to start up on her own and grasped it with both hands!
Kate’s favourite flowers are hydrangeas and stocks.

Charlotte joined Hedge Rose in 2017 as Senior Florist to work alongside Kate in providing fantastic floral design for our customers. Charlotte started floristry at the tender age of 14 and went on to qualify in floristry at an advanced level at Swindon College. Since then she has worked in various shops and run her own successful freelance wedding floristry business. . She hopes that customers will find her approachable and feel they can ask her lots of questions.
Her favourite flowers are paeonies and ranunuculus. She says that her most memorable moment in floristry was doing her own wedding flowers which included five bridesmaids, two flower girls, church and table arrangements. Phew!
